 All of our construction timbers are made from naturally durable timbers such as Larch and Douglas fir and require no toxic wood preservatives. Both species make excellent structural timber and can be milled to the customers exact requirements. We normally have good stocks of each species from which we can mill to order at any dimension up to 4.9 metres in length. 

All orders should be emailed to us for best quotes, including:- your required dimensions, length and quantity. Finally include your name and telephone number with a timeframe of requirement if a large order..

Due to the nature of the beast here at Tanyard Timber we are often left with a great variety of waste or by product from our various timber services.

Our most common by product is the "rift cut", this is the first cut usually made within 2-3 inch's from the outside of the bark towards the pith, this by-product offers a very affordable product ideal for those rustic jobs. bundle's can be collected and cut to length, email your requirements and we'll have it ready for your collection.

Finally we have sawdust, this is a very fine dust generated by the Woodmizer whilst it processes timber. The saw dust is collected frequently and stored at our facility. Although there aren't many uses for saw dust we do find it very popular as a form of fertiliser. this can be bagged up and collected again on request.
