Mobile Sawmill Service

The main work horse here at Tanyard Timber is our WoodMizer LT40 wide. This is a highly productive sawmill capable of milling a large amount of timber in a given time frame. The services we offer are as follows:- 

Home cut service:- This involves you bringing your timber to our premises at Tanyard Timber, tell us your requirements and we can go from there. Prices for this service are based on an hourly rate, £50 per hour for the saw and operator, however for efficiency I would always recommend having an additional worker/saw hand to keep the saw bed clear and the saw working, this comes at an extra cost of £15 per hour. In addition to these costs are blade sharpening/damage costs. Sometimes we encounter nails and other foreign debris in the timber, if damage is caused to the blades then the cost of these replacement blades will need to be covered. At £30 per blade  and £10 for a resharpen.

Mobile service:- This involves us coming to you with the Woodmizer LT40 wide, again I would recommend a saw hand, however if able you may wish to get involved yourself with the processing,(be advised this is hard work!).  The mobile service is a case by case service, based on a flat rate of £500 per day plus travel expenditure, plus blade replacement/re-sharpening.
